Dog Travel, Australia Style!
Dog Travel is full of fun and adventure, with loads of dog friendly sites to explore.
As Max, Chilly and I travel Australia, I will create a travel map of the places we have enjoyed, as well as places that have been recommended by fellow dog travellers. As we discover travel ideas for taking your dogs on short or long trips, I take photos, write a short stories and when there is time, these along with locations and snippets of information on this website. My hope is that the Travel Sites page, with its invitation form, will encourage fellow travellers to share their experiences and photos. With shared travel reviews, travel warnings, travel tips and heads up on some good travel websites, we can make life just that bit easier and more enjoyable.
I am always on the look out for basic needs like discount pet supplies, butchers with good quality yet cheap pet mince and quality dog food on sale. There may be the occasional need for a kennel at a fair price and even, in an emergency situation, a need to consider shipping animals.
With this website, my aim is to share as much as I learn and invite fellow dog travel enthusiasts to share their experiences and knowledge.
Millions of Australians own and love their dogs. Leaving them behind when holiday time comes can be distressing for the family and the dog or dogs. Most people I talk to are amazed at how many options are available to dog owners when it comes to keeping the whole family together on holidays.
Most of my destinations are free camping, or very inexpensive, mainly due to my own budget necessities. With many commercial operations understanding the need for families to holiday with there dogs, the options are growing.
On our Facebook page, we are gathering links to these more commercial operations. We also hope to attract some feedback on the Travel Sites page from those lucky people who have enjoyed themselves there.
Happy dogs means happy travels!
